I was born on May 1, 1997 at 9:40 p.m. at Gwinnett Medical Center, in Lawrenceville, Georgia. When I was born, I weighed 8 lb and 9 oz and was 19 ¾ inches long. When the time came, I thought about waiting a little longer in my mother's tummy and come later: it was so comfortable in there. However, after my mother's enormous effort and for the happiness of all of those who were anxious for my arrival, I finally decide that May Day would be a nice day to be born. Now on the day that the rest of the world celebrates Labor Day, my mother will have a special reason to think of May Day as Labor Day.
Two days after my birth, I came home and met Dickens, whom I had already heard barking for 9 months. Throughout this last year, we have become even more friends and have come to understand each other very well.
